Dr Peter’s Kale and Berries Super Food Smoothie

Hi everybody Dr Peter here, I wanted to share with you a quick and easy super food smoothie I have been trying out for post workout recovery. My wife actually got me onto this, she bought a nutribullet and every morning I am woken up to the sound of it grinding away the ingredients. At first I was a little hesitant to try as I am not the biggest fruit fan I must admit, however once I tried it, I was hooked!

Whether you are hitting the gym or hitting the pavement, this fresh kale and berry smoothie will aid in your muscle recovery and help you feel better.

The ingredients include the rich fibre of fresh greens like kale, with the berry goodness of blueberries and cherries. Turmeric is also in there to help with anti-inflammation and joint recovery, topped off with the richness of healthy fats such as coconut oil and almond butter, this smoothie has all bases covered and it tastes delicious.

It is very easy to prepare and even easier to drink, please try at home and enjoy! Don’t worry if you don’t have a nutribullet, you can also use a normal blender or stick blender.



½ Cup pitted Cherries

1 Cup Kale

½ Cup Blueberries

½ Tablespoon Coconut Oil

1 Chunk Beetroot

1 Tablespoon Almond Butter

1 ½ Cups Unsweetened Coconut Milk

½ Inch Fresh Turmeric
