Dr Alex Harvey is a chiropractor with tremendous skill and focus, as well as compassion and commitment to promoting improved health and Wellbeing for patients. He brings his extensive expertise in sports rehabilitation, posture ergonomics and nutrition to the Wellbeing team.
Prior to university Alex grew up in the SurfCoast town of Torquay. He has a passion for fitness, running, golf, surfing and football. He has competed in state championships for both golf and running events and still continues to participate in these sports to this day.
Over the last few years Alex has gained valuable experience in a number of sporting events around Australia. He was lucky enough to be chosen as a chiropractor for the World Triathlon Championships, where he was actively involved in treating some of the world’s fittest male and female athletes and helping them compete at the best of their ability.
On top of his Chiropractic commitments Alex donates his time in the Essendon District Football League as a trainer with one of the premier clubs of division one. Managing three teams and rehabilitating a countless players from acute musculo-skeletal injuries such as ligament tears, knee injuries, and strained muscles, to more chronic complaints such as re-occurring ankle problems, muscular imbalances and back pain.
His chiropractic experience and passion is for treating people of all ages, not just healthy athletes. Some of his favorite patients to treat have been children and elderly, seeing conditions such as chronic headaches, sciatica, neurological disorders, migraines, low back pain and many more – the results and progress he has seen in these cases he describes as “rewarding and amazing”.
