The origins of Chiropractic date back to 1895. Daniel David (DD) Palmer, who at the time was interested in natural healing, hypothesised that spinal misalignment may be the cause of many problems. DD Palmer performed a spinal adjustment on a friend’s (Harvey Lillard) neck who was suffering from hearing difficulties. As a result of this adjustment, Lillard could suddenly hear normally! Now while chiropractic is not a cure for deafness, it was after this time one case, that Palmer started an extremely successful practice and Chiropractic was born! Fast forward to today and many people seek the help of Chiropractors for common musculo-skeletal related problems including back pain, neck discomfort, headaches and migraines, sciatica or carpal tunnel syndrome among other health issues.
