Our Bayswater Chiropractor’s use a variety of techniques. Some of these techniques are:
Manual Chiropractic adjustments: are also known as spinal manipulation techniques – using the hands to apply controlled specific force to the body.
Activator Technique: Involves a hand-held instrument called the Activator o deliver a gentle impulse force to the body with the goal of restoring motion to the targeted spinal vertebra or joint.
Atlas Orthogonal Technique: Similar to the activator technique, this style of treatment uses an instrument that specifically targets the first spinal vertebrae in the neck. It uses soundwaves to gently assist in the restoration of normal function.
Soft Tissue Therapy: Soft tissue is a muscle focused technique that uses a number of massage and stretching techniques to help restore normal function of the targeted muscles.
Rehabilitation: Involves a range of stretches and exercises to aid in the improvement and return to normal function after and injury or loss of function.
Spinal decompression: Also known as traction. Involves the use of a special table which gently stretches the spine creating a negative pressure between joints. This can aid in the treatment of back and neck pain and relevant spinal disc issues.
